Honey Dream Body Cream

About this

This would be 5 minutes per day indulgently spent. A luxurious but light whipped body cream that lathers on rich but is absorbed in seconds. This is the opportunity to take an extra five minutes of "me time" after a shower to glory in the botanical softness of calendula, cacao butter and honeyquat.

About you

You don't like body butters because they're too heavy. You prefer something that feels moisturising but doesn't linger on the skin. You love the smell of chocolate and cinnamon and honey — and you really love the idea of a botanical skin cream that lathers on deliciously after a shower.

Key Features

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Whipped texture
  • Everyday hydration
  • Soothes irritation (ie. eczema)

Honey Dream Body Cream is dreamy in nature. Bees are a big theme in this body cream with honeyquat, honey, and beeswax. The texture of whipped butter that glides on like silk, is soft, delicate, chocolatey and sweet — it gives one the feeling of... oh, you know, godliness.

Honeyquat, honey and beeswax give humectant actions to the lotion, attracting moisture to the skin and keeping it locked in.

Calendula's triterpenes, carotenoids and flavonoids nourish and love the skin, healing it from the inside out.

Cacao butter imparts a delicious chocolatey smell as well as being the buttery component to this cream.

Chamomile's sesquiterpenes, coumarins, and flavonoids calm the skin and any lumps, bumps, or signs of dryness and itchiness.

Medera Apothecary has prepared two extractions for this formula.

The first; calendula-infused grapeseed oil, prepared by macerating calendula flowers in oil at a controlled, constant temperature for a period of time. The second; ethanol-based chamomile extract. Ethanol is used as the solvent and distillation is the extraction technique. Low temperatures ensure all plant compounds are protected, and no chemical waste is produced in the process.

Honey Dream Body Cream is for those who like a lighter texture body butter. It feels luxurious but has a water part for those who like the luxurious feel without the oily residue. It's perfectly appropriate for those with sensitive skin and can be used as everyday hydration that makes you feel godly. This body cream contains honey, honeyquat and beeswax and might not be appropriate for vegans.

Anytime, but lathers on deliciously after a shower.

Scoop it up and hydrate your skin! Use as much as required, but a little goes a long way! Can be used all over the body including the face, hands and feet.

All ingredients are 100% traceable and unadulterated. Medera aims to manufacture products with ingredients and supplies from Australia. However, some herbs are not grown locally or are not grown to organic standards. Therefore, Medera sometimes uses herbs of non-Australian origin. Medera is 100% transparent about the sourcing of each and every ingredient in each and every product.

Parfum is Naticide®, a trade name of Sinerga. It is a natural, organic preservative approved by ECOcert. It's made of vegetable origins and has a smell a lot like vanilla and almonds.

The ethanol-based Matricaria recutita (chamomile) is made with Matricaria recutita grown in VIC and NSW, Australia and is Australian certified organic.

The Calendula officinalis-infused grapeseed oil is made with Calendula officinalis grown in VIC and NSW, Australia and is Australian certified organic.

Honey and beeswax are purchased locally in Victoria, Australia.

All other ingredients are purchased from Australian suppliers.

Medera's biophotonic glass jars are manufactured in Switzerland and are purchased from an Australian supplier.

One of the beautiful things about shopping for botanical products at Medera is that you can do a beautiful thing for the world and the environment.

Medera's product comes to you with absolutely zero plastic. Every last detail of Medera's packaging is plastic-free:

  • Biophotonic glass jars
  • Compostable bubble mailers
  • Cardboard shipping boxes
  • Greenwrap or biodegradable bubble wrap
  • Compostable sticky tape

Medera makes a huge effort to purchase from suppliers that also boycott plastic so that Medera doesn't produce a lot of waste making products for its customers.

Medera chose biophotonic glass jars for its packaging because of its unique ability to block UV light. UV light degrades compounds in botanical materials, especially aromatic ones. Oils are also prone to rancidity after exposure to UV light. Biophotonic glass jars mean that your jar of tea or body oil can sit right on the bench without being compromised by light (such as what happens with amber bottles). They should be reused when you've finished indulging in their insides because they're high quality glassware.

All compostable packaging products can be composted at home. Simply use them the exact same way you would compost your green waste, and they will break down into organic biomass. The Greenwrap can be recycled like any other cardboard.

We think about every step in the manufacture process and try to innovate a new way of doing things at every step of the way. We know that every part of the manufacture process has a footprint including transport, packaging and delivery. We aim to reduce that footprint in every way possible — and we're always excited to tell you how we did it.
